The brief
Four Four is an Irish dance music magazine and platform that started in the basements and back rooms of the Irish underground. It had grown into a podcast, a live series and merch, and its original FF mark needed to become a full system. That meant a system clear enough to work across editorial, digital and physical space without losing where the brand came from.
The idea
A new chapter for Ireland’s leading voice in dance music.
The outcome
The new identity keeps the original’s directional gesture and the podcast’s familiar microphone, so longtime readers still recognise it. Everything now snaps to a 16px grid and scales cleanly from a browser favicon to a neon sign. Acid yellow, sage grey and the Baikal variable typeface give each series (Mix of the Week, Local Selection, FF Live) its own voice within one family. The system carries across socials, the podcast, signage and merch. “Oisín brought a deep understanding of what Four Four is and what it can become into every part of the redesign.” - Four Four Magazine Team
